The price range one should expect when purchasing office chairs will vary greatly dependent on many factors. The most important of these factors would probably be quality. One can purchase a sturdy reliable office chair for around pounds 50. Yet that chair would not necessarily have important features such as adjustable armrests and a built in lumbar support. By the same token a 500 pound chair will have all of these features and more yet may not be a good value. Unless the chair has extra features such as a double shell construction and a ratchet style lumbar support, that expensive chair may be a poor bargain.
